The UV Textilan Pen is used for marking textiles. It is available as a refillable pen in two versions:
- Pen with fine point
- Pen with broad point
Refill ink is available in 250 ml and 1 litre bottles.
For UV inks and the necessary accessories, we consider this the best, most economical and simplest method of UV marking. UV Textilan pens filled with UV Textilan ink resemble familiar felt-tip pens. Simply remove the cap and mark the desired position – that is all. The ink is absorbed by the fabric, adheres to it and is invisible.
The fabric should not have been treated intensively with optical brightener beforehand, as this itself fluoresces under UV light. After marking, replace the cap on the pen to prevent the UV ink from evaporating.
The pens are easy to refill, and worn parts such as the writing point and the filter can be replaced individually. The pen is refilled with a small pipette and holds about 2 to 3 cm³. Do not overfill the pen, otherwise it may overflow or leak.
The UV ink is based on aromatic hydrocarbons. It can also be applied with a brush or a spray gun.
